My Garden

Corn, with our barn in the background, where the pigs are kept!

lettuce

squash, yellow or zuchinni. I planted both, but I forgot which row was which!

And our tomatoes and peppers (that we have to keep inside b/c we live in IDAHO, the coldest place on earth)

I just planted pumpkins, cucumbers, peas, and more squash a few days ago!!
I say it's my garden b/c I have done all the work!! I weeded, I got the Rototiller, I planted the seeds, I water it...and Judd talks about how nice it will be when we harvest! (I feel like the Little Red Hen:)
SO Another reason I have not blogged in so long is b/c I just have been busy! Idaho has such a short growing season you have GOT to be ready by june 1st to plant, or you may miss it!! (that's what I feel like, anyway) If you want to see my FLOWER garden, scroll down!!!

Sorry it's been SO LONG

The reason I haven't been blogging in a LONG time....

I get a good TWO hours everyday while the boys take their naps (at the same time) to do whatever I want. And I have just wanted to sew these little babbies up! They are SO fun because they each turn out so different! I have given away ten pairs already! I also made this headband with a friend to go with a skirt I made out of the same material. I have just kept really busy with sewing and I feel really good when I do it. It's tedious work, but the end results are almost instant. and permament. (unlike cleaning your house, just to have it messy withing 5 minutes after the kids wake up!)

Backyard Campout

Omigosh! can I just say that again?? Omigosh! Jackson LOVED this!! he was SOOOO excited to sleep in the tent and sleep in a bag. HeHe. I think he was SOOO excited was because we kept telling him we were going to "set up the tent tonight" b/c we had so many nice mornings, but every day by 3 or 4 it was windy and raining. So for almost a week we kept saying, "tomorrow!" But we finally got it done!

This is our set up. camp chairs I got for Judd on his B-Day and an awsome firepit, dug out by Judd's 11 year old scouts =o)

Jackson wouln't sleep in there without me I waited until he fell asleep and headed into my bed. (please, a mattress over the hard ground, no way am I sleeping all night)and somebody had to be in the house with Porter.

We did have alot of fun. Jackson and Dad lasted until 3:00am (when Jackson peed the bed) (and I got a lecture from my 3 year old about ditching out on them!)

MAGIC!!!

I planted these babies in October. Two weeks after we moved in. I had to weed the WHOLE bed and it is long! and I dug them all up b/c I did NOT want them back in the spring. But my hard work payed off!! take a looky! They are beautiful. Planting a seed (or bulb) and just letting nature take it's coarse, is just SO MAGICAL
