The day after his shots

Poor Jackson was having a hard time last night. He was crying and crying and he didn't want to eat and he had burped all his bubbles and he just wasn't happy. We had already given him some Tylenol incase he wasn't feeling good becuase of is shots the day before. Finally I rembered Grandma Sue saying we should give him a warm bath to help his legs not feel so sore. However, we had already given him two baths yesterday becuase he had two huge blow out poopy diapers! THEN I remembered! rice bag! so we heated up this hebal "rice" bag that Grandma Colleen gave us last year for my birthday and we put it on his legs and about 15 seconds after, he stopped crying and just sat there...It was so funny...I guess his legs really were hurting him because 5 min later he was out like a light!

It was just so funny becuase his face went from crying pretty hard to awwww, instant relief! Poor baby!

Monkey Boy

Jackson had his two month appointment today. The Dr. said he looked great! he was so happy to see our Jackson growing so big. We found out he is a solid 13 lbs, so he's gaining about 8 ounces a week! And we foundout he is 23 1/2 inches long, growing 1 inch a month! He is in the 76% for length and 84% for weight!
p.s. Thank you Christine for the cute! cute! monkey blanket.
We've been calling him "monkey boy" all day.

Cavities!!

bottom and top

Yes it's sad, but true, I never had one cavity, not in my whole life until i got pregnant. But Jackson for you it was worth it. The boy just sucked the calcium right out of me. Okay, Okay, I also missed my 6 month check up, and I may have eaten 4 or 5 bags of mint M&M's the last two weeks before he was born, but hey M&M's don't give you TEN cavities by themselves!!Posted by Picasa

Nighty Night!

Jackson Slept 7 hours!! last Sunday, but we were
afraid to post it in case we jinks ourselves
but he's slept 51/2 to 7 hours everynight since.
I can't wait to see what rice cereal will do for him
in two more months!

Seven Weeks and going Strong

This is for all you ladies out there, showing off our boy's mad-skill muscles.
Do you have tickets to the gun show?
We make him do at least 10 pushups before we let him eat...Just kidding, He's just a natural
And for those of you who know Judd, he loves to wear orange. So I couldn't resist I made Jackson match Judd. This is a 3 month outfit. Our boy is growing fast!

JACKSON CRACKS A SMILE!

This weekend Jackson has tried to smile a little more everyday. He is making progress but he doesn't smile long enough to get it on camera so he doesn't quite have it down yet. But as you can see he has a dimple!!!! We are so excited.

Salt Lake City

This last weekend Judd and Jackson and I went down to see Grandpa who flew in from California. We had many fun adventures and new experiences with Jackson, who is now 6 weeks old! He got to stay in his first hotel...

... Jackson got to meet the man who gave him his very prominent (LARGE) nose...
We went to Hill Airforce Base and saw the pretty airplanes. Including the C-47 plane that Jackson's great grandpa flew in during WWII. His crew flew supplies to the front lines and brought back the wounded. He said they were shot at a few times which was scary because their plane had no guns to fire back. Also, Judd's grandpa loved airplanes and was in the air force and he always visited Hill Airforce Base too. The museum was free and we didn't even get to see all of it because it was so big!
... Jackson had a lot of fun and he misses his Grandparents so much already. He said he had fun going to Sizzler, and Johnny Carinos.

Emily and Shaun

Emily and Shaun came to visit us last weekend to see baby Jackson. Emily is my best friend and roommate from college. We had a lot of fun because Emily and Shaun are going to have a baby too pretty soon, and not just any baby, a BOY baby. We are so happy for them.
Emily is 21 weeks along, and Jackson is 5 weeks, and I'm, well... 1256 weeks.

Copy Cat

Jackson is starting to have lots of fun with us. Judd will sit with him and poke his tongue out at him and Jackson will watch him until he can copy him. His other copy trick is when he is staring at me I will say "oooohh" kind of slow, over and over, and then he will reply back shaping his mouth the same way. Sometimes he says, "ooh" or "oooOOooh" he is so much fun!
not too many smiles yet though
