Jackson's Halloween Costume

Judd has a new nickname for Jackson... Stoneface Jackson, Yup, you guessed it, sometimes it's hard to get him to smile.
He made a really cute Brown Bear. He was still crawling at Halloween, and his costume has huge bear paws on the bottoms of the feet. So when he crawled around he really did look like a little bear cub! We went to a trunk or treat in CA earlier in the month and then to Aunt Julie's ward party on Halloween night.

Jackson is walking!

Okay so he is not walking all over the place. He prefers to crawl. But at least we know he has the ability! Me and Jackson's Mamah we're practicing with Jackson having him walk between us for quite a while. Sometimes he would do it and sometimes he would get so excited he would try to run but lean too far forward and crash on his face! It was so fun to practice with him. So then we brought him out to show Judd and Grandmama, uncle juston, and both his grandpas were all there as withnesses. . . I wish we would have done this a few days ago when he took his first two steps!

Ice-cream!!

This was Jackson's first ice-cream given to him by his Uncle Juston when I wasn't looking. When I came in it was too late and too cute so instead I grabbed the camera!

Halloween

Halloween, Halloween, lots of fun at Halloween, black cats and ghosts, skeletons too, whiches and goblems all say BOO! Jackson with his Mamah

Jackson 8 Months

This is Jackson's 8 month picture! We weighed him at about 191/2 lbs. I tried unsucessfully to measure him. He is very active crawling, climbing stairs, and lifting up on everything and every one. He is an active litte fart and very squirmy to hold.

TWO MONTHS!!

My fellow bloggers, family, and friends, I am so sorry that it has been so long since we have blogged! (Two months) I am sorry to say we left the peaceful city of Rexburg to go work in California for a few weeks. While we were there my parents talked us into an opportunity to move to the Salt Lake Valley to house sit a house they had just bought. Within a week we sold our contract, drove up to Idaho, packed up our apartment and left. Ever since we have been nomads!
We moved our stuff into my parent new house then we had to go back to CA to finish the work there, then we came back to ID for Judd's sister's baby blessing, then we went back to the Salt Lake Valley house to pack up again becuase my parents have changed their minds and decided to flip and sell the house they bought. So we are litterally homeless. We have to go back to CA one more time to finish the work there.
We just decided (today) that we will go back to Rexburg and find a new apartment or house to rent! so those are our future plans.
All this moving around has taken it's toll on Jackson. He has had so much trouble sleeping at night, and I don't blame him, he has spent a lot of time in the car on long drives and has had to wake up in a different place every few days. poor baby...So these are a few pictures of our move.

Water Baby

Jackson loves the water so much. Tub or pool he loves to splash around. Here are some cute shots. big cheesy grin on top, and blabing monster on the bottom. His paws really are that big by the way.
... And of course, the rump roast!
The video below is of Jackson in the pool in California! We took him swiming almost every day! Jami and Dave came down to visit so Jackson got to swim with his cousin Ben.

jackson

Here are some fun pictures of Jackson. He always wants to drink out of our cups! it's so funny. He still hasn't figured out how to use the straw!
We got these sun glasses at the "build a bear" store. They fit him perfect. We'll get some better pictures later!
We ordered Dr. Suess books online and got some for free, including this nifty backpack. It's just the right size for Jackson. We put it on him and we both wanted to cry. It made us scared for when we'll have to send him to his first day of school. Judd says we're home-schooling him now.
Here's our boy at 7 months! He's 19 lbs and crawling all over the place. Just two days ago he learned how to pull himself up on all the furniture!! How did he get this big so fast?!?!

FOURTH OF JULY

This was Jackson's first 4th of July! He had a blast this weekend. We went to cache valley(Logan) where most of Judd's family congregates for the famous Lewiston parade and carnival in the park! I was SO impressed with how well Jackson did with the fireworks, considering they were going off during his bed time. They shoot them off at the elementary school field and we had front row seats. Judd's family set out blankets and lie on their backs in the grass and watch the HUGE fireworks go off every year. SO, Jackson was lying on his back asleep when BOOM the fireworks start. He just opened his little peepers and saw the streeming lights above him. He didn't make one peep. His eyes were wide! and he just watched until they were done! HA! HA! I think he loved them!...I on the otherhand, thought he would be terrified by the loud pops, but nope! It was so fun to watch the fireworks with Jackson and Judd's family. This was right before the parade, Lewiston has an awsome parade! The more candy, the better the parade I think!
Jackson kicking back in his stroller waiting for things to start at the carnival in the park.

This is the next day, Logan is famous for it's 4th of July Cruise-In. Cars from all over the western U.S. and Canada come to enter their cars. After it's all over they give a way a classic suped up car for those who bought tickets to see the show then they close all of Main street for two hours for all the cars who entered to drag the street. Everyone in Cache Valley comes to watch these cars drive up and down the streets. Judd and I have entered every year to win the car but we haven't won...yet. This year they gave away a Dodge Charger like this one, only black. Judd LOVES the Charger because it is the Dukes of Hazzard Car. You probaly think I set every picture up so I can have a cute blog? nope! Judd asked me to take this picture. "Me and my boy with the charger."
We had a million pictures of different cars to post, but I only picked one. This is the one I liked the most....because it's pretty.

Jackson is only 5 months old and he already knows how to read Dr. Seuss...

He knows how to have lively conversations with stuffed bears...
And in this picture I was buckeling him in his car seat, and he told me in 5 different languages that the straps were too tight!
What can I say? Judd and I have a genious on our hands

Dawn

HaHa ha! I LOVE this picture Dawn, don't kill me for posting this!
Dawn is successfully getting Jackson to copy her facial expressions.
This was Jackson's first time meeting Dawn, her little girl Hayden, and Gene, Dawn's husband. I think Jackson really liked all three of you!
Dawn was my roommate at college for TWO years! They live in California so it's a rare occation that we get to see them. They came to Utah and we had a short visit. But we will make it up to you when we come out to California next time!
If you want to see more of Dawn and her cool family (Gene is in the Marines) you can visit her blog through my link!

More in California

Grandmama got this adorable little sport suit for Jackson. It fits him perfect and he has worn it to church every sunday since. We love the hat and bow tie!

cousins

Jackson was sitting in Ashley's stroller and she kept sitting up to peek at him hangin' out there. She was very curious.

At Sea World we had Jackson in his umbrella stroller and anytime we were sitting around waiting for a show to start, eating lunch, sitting and watching the aquariums the kids would gather around him and make faces at him, poke him, try to tickle him, it was really fun to watch. Jackson LOVED the attention. He just smiled and cooed at all his cousins.

As many cousins as we could round up. Brooklyn, Ashley, Becca, Aaron, Abby, Chelsea, Alex, Ruthie, and Jaynie.

Wood Cousins

Ashley and Jackson in Ashley's stoller at the beach (9 months apart.) Jaynie and Jackson in Judd's arms. (4 months apart)

Jaynie and Jackson in the car talking to eachother.
Jackson has a lot of girl cousins on the Wood side. In total he is grandchild #26 for Grandpa Wood. It was so fun at sea world to see all the cousins together. I loved watching Jackson with all of them, he would just watch them with so much curiousity.

After we went to San Diego we drove back to Visalia. While we were there Aunt Jami and Cousin Ben came to see Jackson. It was so fun to see baby Ben walking all over the place. Jami, Judd and I took the babies to the Sequoia National Park where we saw the General Sherman tree. Which is HUGE!! we had so much fun, (Aunt Jami has all of those pictures. We got some great ones of the two cousins together!)

Grandpa's Yatch

This was Jackson's first time on Grandpa's boat! Grandpa took us cruising in the Harbor of San Diego and we went around Coronado Island and saw the famous hotel. Jackson liked the boat alot, but he wasn't too fond of his life vest.
